Sports of EPYG 2022

EPYG 2022 includes 9 different sports in girls´and boys´categories. These sports are athletics, swimming, boccia, table tennis, goalball, wheelchair basketball, judo, sitting volleyball and showdown.

Athletics

Venue: Pajulahti / Rakokivi stadium Nastola (Urheilutie 4, 15550 Nastola)

Age category: U17 (2006-2008) and U20 (2003-2005)

Gender: Female and male

Participating countries: Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden

Number of athletes: 95

Age Rule: The minimum age is 14 years old, the maximum is 19. The age will be considered as on 31 December in the year of competition.

Classification: WPA Classification (PI, VI) *confirmed

Eligibility: Registered with WPA

Event Viability: Minus one rules will be applied, a minimum of three (3) athlete entries from two (2) NPCs is necessary to sustain an individual event on the programme.

Competition format: Per the rules of the sport, not all the races

Age Rule: The minimum age is 12 years old, the maximum is 18 The age will be considered as on the first day of the relevant competition.

Classification: WPS Classification (II, PI, VI) *confirmed

Eligibility: Registered with WPS. WPS registered, licensed and classified athletes, with classification status N (if classified in EPYG), C or R/RFD

Event Viability: Minus one rules will be applied, a minimum of four (4) athlete entries from two (2) NPCs is necessary to sustain an individual event on the programme.

Competition format: Per the rules of the sport, not all the races. Events will be swam as multi-class event

Age Rule: The minimum age is 13 years old, the maximum is 21 (2001-2009). All athletes entered to Sanctioned Youth Ranking Competition must be aged between 13 and 21-year-old on January 1 of the year of the competition.

Classification: International, BC1-BC4

Eligibility: Registered wit BISFED

Event Viability: max. 48 athletes. BISFED Youth European Championship and qualification tournament to Youth World Championships

Competition format: Per the rules of the sport. Individual, team and pair competition

Eligibility: Registered with IBSA

Participation standard: IBSA Member

Event Viability: IBSA Youth U19 European Championships. 1 team/gender/nation.

Age Rule: The minimum age is 13 years old, the maximum is 23. The athletes must be born from 01.01.1999 to 31.12.2009. The age will be considered as on 31 December in the year of competition.

Classification: IWBF international classification.

Eligibility: Registered in a NOWB affiliated with IWBF Europe

Event Viability: Minimum 4 Nations, 1 team per Nation. Mixed nationteam possible. A team may add extra points to the total number of points for each player under 16 and each female player on court Male under 16 or female over 18: 1.0 points. Female under 18: 2.0 points
